RIED is the report card. We keep track of whether legislators are advancing economic growth or hindering it.
How far we've come
Created in 1997 by The State Chamber, Greater Oklahoma City Chamber and Tulsa Regional Chamber, RIED has analyzed legislation and evaluated the impact a legislator's vote has had on Oklahoma's economic and business climate.
In 24 years, Oklahoma's business, jobs and economic growth has increased by 18 percent - proving holding legislators accountable for the votes taken works.
An Eye on the Issues
Institute research creates a profile of each legislator’s individual voting record for bills dealing with business, industry, job creation and economic growth issues deemed important by the private sector. All legislation introduced during the session regarding the issues listed is evaluated. Each legislator is graded with respect to his or her position on each bill. A wide range of reports, graphic illustrations and voting profiles are disseminated across the state based upon each legislator’s voting record.
