2025 Oklahoma Business Leaders Poll Shows Positive Outlook
Results of the 2025 Oklahoma Business Leaders Poll (BLP) offer a detailed look into the priorities, challenges, and outlook of Oklahoma’s business community. The BLP continues to serve as a critical resource for policymakers, providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making and strengthen Oklahoma’s competitiveness. This year the poll reached 302 Oklahoma business owners and executives across the state.
According to the survey, 70% of Oklahoma business leaders believe the state is on the right track, showing stronger optimism compared to the national economic outlook. An overwhelming 90% plan to invest in Oklahoma, citing confidence in the state’s economic environment despite ongoing concerns about workforce availability.
“Oklahoma is competitive when it comes to cost and energy reliability, but the survey makes it clear we need to do more to strengthen our workforce pipeline, improve infrastructure, and expand access to capital,” said SCRF Policy and Research Director Amanda Hall. “These are critical factors if we want to stay in the race to attract and retain businesses.”
The BLP identified workforce challenges as the top barrier to growth, with business leaders also calling out infrastructure gaps and access to skilled labor as key disadvantages when compared to other states. Notably, 84% of respondents believe improving health outcomes would positively impact the workforce.
“We are grateful to the hundreds of business leaders who took part in this year’s survey,” Amanda said. “Their voices are helping shape the future of Oklahoma’s economy, and together, we are laying the groundwork for long-term success.”
